Two men were hurt — one critically — in a crash Wednesday morning in west suburban St. Charles.

An older model Jeep Wrangler was southbound on Route 25 when a four-door Cadillac didn’t stop at a stop sign and pulled out from Seminary Drive in front of the Jeep at 6:40 a.m., according to Kane County sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Pat Gengler.

The driver of the Cadillac, a 33-year-old Bloomingdale man, was taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva with injuries that are potentially life-threatening, Gengler said.

The driver of the Jeep, a 27-year-old St. Charles man, was also taken to Delnor with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles, and neither were wearing seat belts, Gengler said.

No charges had been issued as of late Wednesday morning.

Route 25 was closed between Army Trail Road and Seminary Drive for about three hours while the crash was investigated.
