St. Rita’s Matt Ryan shuts out Mount Carmel on three-hitter

Matt Ryan hasn’t pitched much this season.

Prior to a relief appearance on Saturday against Brother Rice, St. Rita’s senior left-hander hadn’t pitched in weeks.

On Wednesday, Ryan had the look of staff ace, recording a three-hitter to lead St. Rita to a 1-0 win over visiting Mount Carmel in Catholic League Blue action.
