A registered sex offender who lives in southwest suburban Plano failed to report his employment as required by law and is back behind bars.

Jason R. Porter, 42, is charged with two counts of violation of the sex offender registration act/failure to report employment and one count of providing false information, according to a statement from the Kendall County sheriff’s office.

According to the Illinois sex offender registry, Porter had previously been convicted of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim younger than 13, criminal sexual assault, and being a child sex offender present in a school zone.

He was arrested Tuesday at his home in Plano, and is being held at the Kendall County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
