A man was shot Thursday morning during a robbery in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 36-year-old was on the sidewalk in the 5900 block of South Campbell about 6 a.m., when three males walked up and announced a robbery, police said.

The man complied and handed over some personal items, police said. He then attempted to flee, when one of the males opened fire.

He suffered a graze wound to the hip and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
