SHARE Robberies reported in West Elsdon

Police are warning residents about a pair of robberies reported this week in the West Elsdon neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

In each robbery, two males have approached victims and demanded their property or taken it by force, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The most recent robbery occurred about 3:50 p.m. Thursday in the 5800 block of South Kolmar, police said. Another was reported about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 4600 block of West 59th Street.

One of the suspects was described as a 25-year-old man with dreadlocks who is 6 feet tall and weighs 225 pounds, police said. The other suspect is also a male, although no further description of him was available.
