A man walked into a Near West Side hospital early Saturday after he was shot in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.

About 1:20 a.m., the 29-year-old was in the 100 block of South California when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

He took himself to Rush University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his buttocks, police said. His condition was not available early Saturday.
