Woman shot in Armour Square

A 58-year-old woman was shot in the Armour Square neighborhood on the South Side early Saturday.

About 12:15 a.m., the woman was walking on the sidewalk in the 200 block of West 38th Place when she heard shots and felt pain, police said.

She was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to her right calf, police said. Her condition had stabilized.
