The cause of death remains inconclusive for a male found inside a garbage bin Thursday afternoon in the West Side North Lawndale neighborhood.

The body of a male was discovered about 4 p.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of South Avers, police said.

On Sunday, a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office said the male’s name had not been released because relatives need to be notified. An autopsy came back inconclusive, pending further studies, he said.

Police were conducting a death investigation.
