Man shot in West Englewood

A man was shot early Monday in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 22-year-old man was walking in the 6200 block of South Bishop at 1:10 a.m. when he “heard shots and felt pain,” police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said, citing preliminary information.

He was shot in the right leg and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he is listed in good condition, Greer said.
