Police are warning about three recent robberies near the CTA Red Line’s Garfield Station on the South Side.

During each robbery, two men have approached people near the station and demanded property, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

The first robbery happened about 10 a.m. April 9 in the 200 block of West Garfield, the alert said. Another robbery happened at 1 p.m. May 2 in the 300 block of West Garfield.

The most recent robbery happened at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of West Garfield, the alert said.

The suspects are described as two men between 18 and 25 years old, about 5-foot-7 to 6-feet and between 150 and 170 pounds, the alert said.
