Beat writers are already talking about Tom Thibodeau and the Bulls in the past tense, but what will Thibodeau do if the team decides to go a different direction?

If the Bulls fire Thibodeau, and he doesn’t think the coaching market is strong enough, he can sit out a season and wait for the job of his choice to be available.

K.C. Johnson suggests the Lakers, which might be open if Byron Scott can’t improve his 21-61 record.

Others think Thibodeau has so much love for the game that he couldn’t stay away from basketball and will take any available job.

There might be teams who will have a coaching vacancy if the Bulls decide to part ways with Thibodeau, because he is considered one of the best coaches in the NBA.
