Cubs’ personalized pavers found in landfill — report

SHARE Cubs’ personalized pavers found in landfill — report

Some of the personalized pavers around Wrigley Field may have been relocated during renovations, according to a story in the Pontiac Daily Leader.

Problem is, they were reportedly found in landfill near Pontiac.

The bricks were sold to fans for about $160 in 2006. When asked about status of the pavers before the renovations, the Cubs issued this statement:

We are taking great care to preserve and protect your paver as work continues in and around the ballpark. As part of this process, your paver may need to be moved and will not be accessible during this offseason. We will provide you with an update closer to Opening Day.

You may recall, the Cubs have had other problems with tossing things out prematurely.
