Teen shot in Austin

A teenage boy was shot in the Austin neighborhood Tuesday night.

About 8:30 p.m., the 17-year-old was standing on the sidewalk with two other people in the 5500 block of West Fulton when someone fired at them from an alley, police said.

He was shot in the lower left leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
