Two men tried to lure two girls into a van in the Lincoln Park neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, police said.

About 4:20 p.m., two men who were in a van in the 300 block of West Webster motioned to two girls to get in their vehicle, according to an alert from Area Central detectives.

The girls ran off and then men drove away, police said.

One suspect was described as a 20-year-old white man with straight brown hair. He was also wearing “goggles,” police said. The other man, described as Hispanic, is also thought to be about 20 with brown hair.

The van the two men were in had four windows, police said.

Anyone with information on the attempted luring is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
