A 24-year-old man was fatally shot Friday afternoon in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

Kelvin L. Daviswas standing on a sidewalk about 5:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of East 75th Street when a gunmanin a gray vehicle shot at him, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Davis, who lived in the 7500 block of South Dorchester, was shot in theneck and chest and taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:15 p.m., authorities said.
