Man shot in Austin

A man was shot Saturday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 4900 block of West Jackson at 5:37 a.m., police said.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized.
