A man was seriously injured in a shooting Wednesday morning in the Southwest Side Gage Park neighborhood.

The 32-year-old was in the 5800 block of South Kedzie about 10:40 a.m. when a male of unknown age rolled up on a scooter and the two began arguing, police said.

The suspect then pulled out a handgun and fired several times, striking the victim, police said. The shooter then ran away, leaving his scooter.

The victim, a documented gang member, was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
