Man shot in Chatham

A man was shot in the Chatham neighborhood Thursday afternoon on the South Side.

About 4:50 p.m., the 24-year-old was sitting outside in the 700 block of East 90th Place, when a male walked up and fired shots, striking him in the back, police said.

Hew as taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
