A man was shot Thursday night in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 11 p.m., the 30-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 12100 block of South Parnell when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the left buttocks, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
