Police issued an alert after several recent armed robberies in the Near West Side neighborhood.
In each incident, two or three men approach a person, display a handgun and demand property, according to a statement from Chicago Police.
The robberies occurred:
- 8 a.m. May 18 in the 1400 block of South Ashland
- 11:20 a.m. May 19 in the 1300 block of South Racine
- 4 a.m. May 20 in the 1100 block of West 21st Street
The suspects are about 19 to 20 years of age, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 and weigh about 150 to 170-pounds, police said.
