A man was shot and seriously wounded Friday night in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The man, 37, was shot in the leg or upper groin area at 7:15 p.m. in the 2900 block of West 66th Street, police said.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center, where he was in serious condition.
