A 31-year-old man was shot early Saturday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 1:20 a.m., when a gunman opened fire from the sidewalk at a minivan stopped at a stop sign in the 3200 block of West Walnut, striking the man – who was a passenger inside the vehicle – in the shoulder, police said.
He was taken to Norwegian-American Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
