A 15-year-old boy was shot while riding in a car early Saturday on Lake Shore Drive.

About 12:15 a.m., the teen was in a car in the 1500 block of South Lake Shore Drive when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside opened fire, striking the boy in the arm, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he is listed in good condition.

Police added the teen is a documented gang member.
