A lot of reports point to Tom Thibodeau not returning to the Bulls next season. Some reports say he’ll be traded, others say he’ll be fired, but either way, the reports show Thibodeau will most likely not be back next season.

CBS college basketball writer Gary Parrish reported if/when Thibodeau is no longer part of the Bulls’ organization, Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg will be hired as the 22nd coach in Bulls history.

According to what multiple sources have told CBSSports.com, Tom Thibodeau will likely be replaced by Fred Hoiberg as Chicago’s head coach, and this reality has Iowa State fans feeling some type of way.

The Iowa State athletic director Jaimie Pollard told the Ames Tribune everyone needs to respect Hoiberg’s decision.

Everyone needs to take a step away from the ledge. I recognize it’s tough on [the media], it’s tough on the players, it’s tough on fans. [But] at the end of the day Fred has done a tremendous amount for our institution, and the last five years have been pretty special. What the future holds, I don’t have that answer. That’s a personal decision he’s got to make and it’s complicated. [But] I think he’s earned the right to be able to deal with it how he sees fit.

It sounds like Pollard has a feeling Hoiberg will take the Chicago job if offered to him.
