A man crashed a vehicle after he was shot while driving Saturday night in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 30-year-old was driving southbound in the 7300 block of South Damen about 11:30 p.m. when shots were fired by a gunman standing on the sidewalk, police said.

He was shot in the head and then crashed the vehicle, police said. He was taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
