A 32-year-old man was shot and critically injured in a drive-by shooting early Sunday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 12:20 a.m., he was standing on a sidewalk in the 3800 block of West Hirsch when someone fired shots from a passing vehicle, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

The man was struck in the abdomen and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Greer said.
