Cubs outfielder Chris Coghlan was hitting .202 before Sunday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, just 11 hits in his last 62 at-bats.

Coghlan hit his seventh home run of the season off Diamondback’s Jeremy Hellickson — Coghlan was the only player on the Cubs roster to face Hellickson prior to Sunday’s game.

His two-run home run pulled the Cubs within one run in the fifth inning.

Last season, the Cubs outfielder only had nine home runs the entire 2014 season, which was a career high, and Coghlan has nearly reached that mark a quarter through the season.

The six-year-veteran also flashed his glove in left field with a highlight-reel catch.

The Cubs lost 4-3, but Coghlan finished the game 1-for-2 and raised his averaged to .208.
