Lane closures on an exit ramp from Interstate 55 to U.S. 30 in Joliet start Tuesday to allow crews to do repair work.

One left turn lane on the ramp from northbound I-55 to U.S. 30 will be closed until Friday, according to a statement form the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The ramp will remain open to traffic throughout the project, IDOT said. Crews will be patching the concrete pavement.

Other ramps at the interchange are also undergoing repairs, and all of the construction will wrap up in the next few weeks, IDOT said. Motorists should allow extra travel time.
