A 20-year-old who was fatally shot on the Near West Side early Saturday has been identified as a south suburban man.

Darius Lee was discovered unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1000 block of West 14th Place about 2:10 a.m. Saturday, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Lee, of the 3400 block of West Hummingbird Court in Matteson, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:51 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.
