SHARE Kris Bryant nearly hit HR over Wrigley Field video board

Kris Bryant nearly hit himself on the Cubs new video board on Tuesday night. The powerful phenom tied the game in the eighth inning with a two-run home run that almost sailed over the board. The Cubs went on to defeat the Nationals 3-2.

“Did it hit the board? I thought it was over the board,” manager Joe Maddon said of Bryant’s blast – his second homer in as many nights and seventh in 17 days. “It was really pummeled. Kind of got everybody stirring a little bit.”
