Chicago Police are warning residents of the Southwest Side Marquette Park neighborhood of several recent home burglaries within blocks of each other.

At least one suspect enters a home through a door and steals property during the daytime or evening hours, according to the community alert issued by Area Central detectives.

The burglaries happened:

  • in the 6800 block of South Campbell about 7:20 p.m. on May 15;
  • in the 7100 block of South Artesian about 6 a.m. on May 19;
  • in the 6800 block of South Maplewood about 3:45 p.m. on May 21;
  • in the 6900 block of South Campbell about 5:30 p.m. on May 22;
  • in the 6800 block of South Artesian about 12 p.m. on May 23;
  • and in the 7000 block of South Campbell about 7:40 p.m. on May 24.

Police advise neighbors to watch each other’s homes for suspicious activity and to immediately repair any broken windows, doors or locks.
