A male was shot while standing on a porch in the South Side Washington Heights neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

About 4:20 p.m., the male — whose age was not known late Wednesday — was on an enclosed porch in the 10200 block of South Wallace when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.

The male was shot in the leg and his friends drove him to Roseland Community Hospital, police said. His condition was also not known late Wednesday.
