A man was shot to death early Sunday in the South Side Marquette Park neighborhood.

Nyerere Lloyd, 26, was standing on the sidewalk in the 3100 block of West 64th Street about 12:40 a.m. when two males walked up and fired shots, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Lloyd was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:05 a.m., authorities said. Police initially said he was 25.

He lived in the 6600 block of South Troy, the medical examiner’s office said.
