Normal service being restored to Green, Pink lines after bridge-lift delay

The Green and Pink lines were operating with residual delays Sunday morning after a bridge lift over the Chicago River downtown disturbed service.

Trains were facing “significant” delays at 10 a.m. and may have been stalled at stations or sent back toward Harlem and Lake for the Green Line and 54th and Cermak for the Pink Line, the CTA said.

But normal service was being restored by 10:30 a.m., the CTA said.

The CTA suggests commuters still allow extra travel time.
