SHARE Police: Man robbing gas stations at gunpoint in Portage Park

Police are warning businesses on the Northwest Side after two recent armed robberies at gas stations in the Portage Park neighborhood.

In both robberies, a man entered the gas station, pulled out a handgun and demanded money, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The most recent robbery happened at 10:11 p.m. May 28 in the 4000 block of North Laramie, and the other happened at 1:20 a.m. May 26 in the 5200 block of West Addison, police said.

The robber is described a man between 20 and 30 years old, standing between 5-feet-7 and 5-feet-8 and weighing between 125 and 170 pounds, police said. He was wearing a mask covering his face, a hooded sweatshirt or jacket, blue jeans, brown shoes and gloves.
