A man who pushed a 79-year-old to the floor after robbing a Humboldt Park neighborhood liquor store Thursday has been linked to another Northwest Side robbery that occurred earlier this year, police said.

Juan Flores, 44, is accused of robbing a liquor store about 11:20 p.m. Thursday in the 3800 block of West North Avenue, according to a statement from Chicago Police. During his escape, Flores pushed a 79-year-old person to the floor, police said.

Following his arrest, investigators were able to link him to another robbery that occurred about 9:10 p.m. on Jan. 3 in the 2700 block of North Harlem.

Flores is charged with one count each of aggravated robbery, robbery and aggravated battery of a person older than 60, all felonies, police said.

Flores, of the 3000 block of North Harlem, is scheduled to appear in bond court later this week.
