Monk parakeet observation: Wild of the Week

Tom Turek of Bridgeview sent this photo and observation on monk parakeets.

He emailed:

They usually make their nests in big evergreens, as provides more cover for them. They seem to be getting more blatant, have not seen many nests in oak trees in the past. They chatter very loud as mating season is upon them, I would guess. End of report.
