A person is in custody after a woman was stabbed to death Tuesday afternoon in the West Ridge neighborhood on the North Side, police said.

Jerren Jackson, 53, was fatally stabbed about 4 p.m. in the 6200 block of North Bell, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Jackson, who lived in the same block, was dead at the scene, the medical examiner’s office said.

Investigators are questioning a person in custody in connection with the attack. The stabbing appears to be a domestic-related incident, a police source said.
