SHARE Construction could reduce roads to one lane in southwest suburbs

A drainage and resurfacing project has caused lane reductions in the southwest suburbs slated to last until mid-July.

The work will occur along Cal-Sag Road/Route 83, according to a statement from the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Traffic on Route 83 between the Cal-Sag Channel and U.S. Route 45 may be reduced to one lane with flaggers at different locations until July 15, IDOT said.

The work will occur in Lemont, unincorporated Lemont and Palos Township, IDOT said.

Drivers should allow extra time for travel.
