An 18-year-old man was shot and critically wounded Friday afternoon in the South Side Kenwood neighborhood.

The teen was standing outside in the 4700 block of South Greenwood at 3 p.m. when someone walked up and shot him in both legs, police said. The shooter then jumped into a white, silver or gray Dodge vehicle that drove away north on Greenwood.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was in critical condition.
