Man fatally shot in Englewood

A man was shot and killedThursday evening in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 7:25 p.m., officers responding to a call of shots fired in the 7000 block of South Sangamon found 28-year-old Antonio Galtney with gunshot wounds to the armpit and thigh, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Galtney, of the 500 block of East 51st, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:12 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.
