A 17-year-old girl was shot in the ankle Saturday night in a drive-by attack on the Near West Side.

She was walking with another person about 9 p.m. in the 300 block of South Wood when someone fired shots from a passing dark-colored sedan, police said.

She was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to her left ankle and her condition stabilized, police said.
