Making a comparison between Bulls legend Michael Jordan and Derrick Rose is a long shot, but they do have one thing in common; beating the Cleveland Cavaliers on a game-winning shot in the playoffs.

Bulls stunned the Cavaliers on Friday to take a 2-1 series lead, and Friday also marked the 26-year anniversary of Michael Jordan’s game winner over the Cavaliers in Game 5 of the 1989 Eastern Conference quarterfinals.

Bulls fans will forever remember Jordan’s game winner as “The Shot,” but Rose’s shot will reminisce with Bulls fans for a while.

The difference between Rose and Jordan’s game winners is the Bulls advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals after Jordan’s shot. The Bulls still have to face LeBron James and the Cavaliers in Game 4 on Sunday.
