A 22-year-old man was shot to death in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side Saturday afternoon.

Marcus D. Franklin was on the sidewalk in the 7200 block of South Green about 12:55 p.m. when someone walked up and shot him repeatedly in the neck and chest, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Franklin, of the 700 block of West 61st Street, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:22 p.m., authorities said.
