Boy, 16, shot in Hermosa

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side Monday evening.

About 5:10 p.m., the teen was standing on a sidewalk in the 4000 block of West Armitage when he heard shots and realized he had been struck in the leg, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition, police said.
