Inbound and outbound Metra trains on the Union Pacific / Northwest Line were temporarily halted Monday morning near Arlington Heights.
All trains were stopped after a truck crashed into a viaduct, Metra announced about 8:30 a.m. Monday.
As of 8:50 a.m., trains were on the move again, the transit agency announced.
Inbound train No. 636, scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 9:28 a.m., was operating 15 to 20 minutes behind schedule, Metra said. Outbound train No. 609, which departed Chicago at 7:30 a.m., was operating 33 to 38 minutes behind schedule due to the truck striking the viaduct.
