A 23-year-old man was shot in the buttocks early Tuesday inside a Homan Square neighborhood restaurant on the West Side.

About 1:30 a.m., he was at the restaurant near the intersection of Roosevelt and Homan when several people walked in and a gunman among them opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.
