A man was shot to death early Wednesday near his home in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said.

Devonte Terry, 19, was shot in the back and found unresponsive in the 5600 block of South Artesian at 12:44 a.m., police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Terry, who lived in the same block, was dead at the scene, according to the medical examiner’s office.
