A man was critically wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The shooting happened in the 3000 block of West 63rd Street at 12:54 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

A 22-year-old man was discovered unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head, Sweeney said. He was in critical condition.
