The Phillies have shopped closer Jonathan Papelbon to the Cubs and Blue Jays, according to Fox Sports baseball analyst Ken Rosenthal.
About to post a story on my Facebook page a story with the latest on #Phillies’ Papelbon. Both the #BlueJays and #Cubs are in.

A source told Rosenthal that no deal appears close.
Papelbon, 34, is guaranteed more than $8 million for the rest of this season, and his $13 million option for next season will vest if he finishes 26 more games; he has finished 22 thus far.
Rosenthal says the deal will come down to how much of the contract the Cubs or Blue Jays will want to pick up.
Papelbon has 12 saves with a 1.13 ERA this season.
